We are lucky enough to operate out of a mobile office - a change of scenery is possible at any given moment! You'll find us in the truck at the end of the cul-de-sac on Dangar Rd in Brooklyn, right beside the Hawkesbury River train station.
If you are coming by train, be aware there are nearly 100 stairs up and over the train line from the platform, half up and half down. It is by far the easiest way to get to Brooklyn, however, and for timetable information, use www.131500.com (click on the green to use the link). Our station is called Hawkesbury River. For our interstate and overseas visitors, remember to ask for a Seniors ticket if you qualify - this allows you to travel all day on Sydney trains, buses and ferries for the princely sum of $2.50.
Our direct train departs Central Station in Sydney at 8.45am, usually from Platform 12. This gets you to Hawkesbury River Station by about 9.45, still plenty of time to get over the stairs and buy tickets for the mailboat before boarding. If you are early risers, the previous train departs Central Station at 7.45am, arriving at 8.45. Our crew can all vouch for the excellent bacon & egg rolls available from two of the great cafes right by the train station at Brooklyn!
The direct train from Newcastle departs at 7.29am, arriving at Hawkesbury River Station at about 9.26. It goes through Gosford at 9am, and Woy Woy shortly after that.
If you are coming by car, allow a little extra time to find a park, especially on the weekend - Brooklyn is a very small town! Parking in Brooklyn is free, some is timed parking (4 hours, which is more than enough as most cruises are just over 3 hours long) and some is untimed. There is no specified disabled parking, although if necessary you can drive right up to the wharf, drop off passengers then park the car.
If you have a GPS in your car, use 'Dangar Road, Brooklyn' as the address.
If not, take the Brooklyn/Mooney Mooney exit off the M1 Pacific Motorway (formerly the F3 Freeway), follow all the signs to Brooklyn (these will bring you over the old Pacific Hwy bridge to the Sydney side of the river) and turn left onto Brooklyn Rd. Go all the way to the end of it and turn left when you can go no further. There we will be!
If your cruise is departing from Kangaroo Point, you will see the signs to the 'Kangaroo Point Cruise Terminal' on the Old Pacific Highway right beside the bridge across the Hawkesbury (on the Sydney side of the river)
